Reminder: We are meeting THIS WEEK due to the Memorial Day holiday weekend. We will continue to meet at the Marian Center in May and June.

May is the usually the month in our area of the country where plant growth and bird/animal activity and reproduction seem to be, well, almost explosive. Eggs appear in the nests, leaves open on the trees, and the flowers really do bloom overnight! 

Happy Birthday to US! This month we begin our second year of meeting in circle to drum & journey together! What an amazing time we’ve had, outdoors with the moon and fire and the trees and the deer…indoors with candles and tea and gift exchange and dancing and beautiful Native songs…and we are looking forward to all that and more magic, we are absolutely sure, to come.

April is Earth month and seed planting time, so the Bay View Drum & Journey Circle is planting some seeds, too. We have lots of news this month!

Happy Spring! With the vernal equinox just past, the days are slowly growing longer here in southeastern Wisconsin and soon they will be longer than the nights. The increasing warmth and the light draw us out of our homes to walk, run, and play, reveling in the warmer air and the sunshine. Fields and gardens will soon be planted, and before we know it those buds on the trees will burst out as leaves and flowers. Pagans are celebrating Ostara. Christians are remembering the death and celebrating the resurrection of Christ. In spring, it sometimes seems as if all the world is truly coming back to life.
